What are they complaining about? The soaring life expectancy or the fact that people still die at the end of their lives?

Life is dangerous- most times it ends deadly! Under this circumstances a prohibitionist would say: Let's ban it!

Ah but we could all "live as long as Olympian's" apparently by taking just a little more exercise according to the BBC this morning. It doesn't take much to make headlines these days. Serious scientists must look at this stuff and wonder why they bother.
